Rogers Memorial Hospital Foundation Women’s Gathering

More than 320 guests attended the 13th Annual Women’s Gathering, hosted by Rogers Memorial Hospital Foundation. The program began with Heather Hodorowski, MS, MT-BC, LPC, manager of experiential therapy at Rogers Memorial Hospital – Brown Deer, as she guided attendees through a musical therapy experience using rhythm and sound. She then talked about the many ways music can be used to touch your soul, open your mind and heal your heart – whether that is during daily life or seeking help for a mental health challenge.

Afterward, mission moment speakers Karen and son, Daniel, took the stage to share their powerful story of hope and resilience in battling Daniel’s obsessive-compulsive disorder and Tourette’s syndrome, and how music therapy continues to be a significant part of his ongoing recovery process. The program concluded with Daniel singing a song he wrote, entitled “This Journey of Mine.”
