“Milwaukee is a vibrant city with much to offer. However, poverty, lack of access to good jobs and education and racial tension have created a deep divide – one that must be bridged for the entire community to realize its potential,” said BizTimes Media publisher Dan Meyer. “Many people, companies and nonprofit organizations give tirelessly of their time and energy to provide better access to jobs, education, food and adequate health care. But how does it all work together, and what could we, as a community, be doing better? This is going to be a great discussion on these issues. There has never been a better time for our community to have this conversation.”

Following the panel discussion will be the presentation of the Nonprofit Excellence Awards. The finalists were announced recently, and the winners will be announced at the event.
