Books or educational materials, Volunteers
We have a variety of volunteer opportunities ranging from reading with our children to helping teachers in the classroom. You can also reach out with a company book drive to support our Books for Kids program or adopt a classroom for holiday gift-giving. For a complete list of opportunities, visit www.nextdoormke.org.
Walk for Children
The Walk for Children is Next Door’s largest community event of the year. The Walk brings together more than 1,000 supporters to raise awareness and funding for the critical, early childhood education programs at Next Door. Each year, we feature a celebrity Walk Leader. In recent years, we’ve welcomed players from the Green Bay Packers, like Eddie Lacy and Davante Adams. The family-friendly event also includes live music, children’s activities, raffles and free books for children from our Books for Kids Mobile Library. Next Door families and staff also come out for the Walk, which began in 1989.
