Highlight It Up Blue campaign
Area hair stylists at various salons volunteer their time and talent for this community-based outreach to promote autism acceptance by putting blue in people’s ‘dos! Blue natural hair extensions or temporary dye allow allies to stand out and stand up for students on the spectrum who are often victims of disability harassment. Schools, businesses, and community groups are encouraged to set up on-location events, where the stylists come to you for an hour or two (minimum 12 participants).
