Jerica Watson

Milwaukee Aces women’s semi-professional basketball team has hired Jerica Watson as its new head coach.

She began her basketball career playing at Milwaukee Washington High School and then the University of Iowa, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in art and intermedia. Watson was drafted to the WNBA Miami Sol and also played for three international teams including Iceland, Spain and Portugal. During her career as a player, Watson amassed five MVP awards; six Player-of-the-Week or -Year awards; competed in numerous Championships including in the Big 10; and helped Portugal win three league titles in just one season.

Watson held a number of head and assistant coaching positions at local high schools and Milwaukee Recreation League teams.
