Emily Capelle

Seeds of Health, Inc., Milwaukee, is proud to welcome Emily Capelle as its new director of development.

As Director of Development, Capelle will oversee and implement fundraising development strategies and initiatives for the Seeds of Health organization, including cultivating and stewarding major gifts, planned gifts and grant writing and management, and facilitate donor relationships.

Capelle has more than 28 years of non-profit management experience, joining Seeds of Health from Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin and Metro Chicago, where she served as senior development manager for nine years. Prior to that, she held various fundraising and development positions at Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Waukesha County, Women in Cable & Telecommunications, Inc., Milwaukee AIDS Project and U.S. Peace Corps, Fiji.

Capelle received her bachelor’s degree in Library Science/Sociology from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and earned her Master’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee.

Founded in 1983, Seeds of Health, Inc. is the only K-12 charter school district in the state of Wisconsin serving approximately 1,200 students in four high schools and a K-8 elementary program. The five individual and unique education programs serve a broad range of student needs – from at-risk to the college bound.
