Anselmo Villarreal

Waukesha State Bank is proud to announce the addition of Anselmo Villarreal to its Board of Directors. Villarreal has been president and CEO of La Casa de Esperanza, Inc. since 1994 and has been employed with La Casa since 1990.

As the president and CEO of La Casa de Esperanza, Inc., Villarreal is responsible for providing strategic visioning, planning and direction of the organization, which includes growth and expansion initiatives, operating and personnel policies and procedures, annual budgeting and fund development. In addition, he is charged with developing and maintaining effective working relationships between the Latino community and various organizations, including state, county and local government, local businesses, institutions of higher education, public schools and other community service organizations.

Villarreal holds a Ph. D. in leadership for the advancement of learning and service from Cardinal Stritch University, a masters of arts degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a bachelor of arts in economics from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico.

In addition to serving on the corporate board of Waukesha State Bank, Villarreal is active in the community, serving as vice chair of the board of directors and chair of the finance committee for Southwest Keys, the largest nation-wide, Hispanic-serving organization in the United States. He is also a member of the Waukesha Rotary Club, the Waukesha Chamber of Commerce, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the United Way’s board of directors public policy committee. He is a past board member of the Workforce Development Center, the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission, the National Council of La Raza, and the Alliance for Children and Families. In addition, he is a past advisory committee member of the Federal Reserve Board.
