Dunkin’ Donuts planned in Greenfield

Will be located at corner of 76th and Cold Spring

A new Dunkin’ Donuts is being proposed at the southeast corner of South 76th Street and West Cold Spring Road in Greenfield.

The 1,500-square-foot doughnut shop is being proposed by Shree Saras 2 LLC. According to a city staff report, the restaurant would be constructed on a half-acre site that consists of two lots. The vacant lot at the corner of the intersection formerly contained a single-family home, while the second lot immediately to the east was occupied by Greenfield Rehabilitation Agency. That building would be demolished to make way for the new building.

The restaurant would operate from 5 a.m.-9 p.m. seven days a week, employing about 15 people.

City staff noted in their report they worked with the developer in tweaking site plans and recommended that the detailed plans be approved.

The city’s Plan Commission is scheduled to meet tomorrow to considered detailed plans on the project. Commission members reviewed conceptual plans during their January meeting. The city would also need to hold a public hearing for the proposed development, which could be held as early as mid-March, according to the staff report.
