The Buffalo Water Beer Bar, located in the heart of the Milwaukee Public Market, opened for business today, offering Wisconsin craft beers and Milwaukee’s own Palermo’s pizza.
“The Milwaukee Public Market in the Historic Third Ward is a destination stop for visitors and locals, “said Bridget Viohl, owner of the bar and eatery. “The market is an exciting, vibrant, happening place with much to offer. The bar is a wonderful place to enjoy a neighborhood-brewed beverage and fresh, locally made pizza.”
Buffalo Water Beer Bar is located directly in the center of the Public Market, adjacent to Thief Wine Shop & Bar and The Green Kitchen. It is across from Rupena’s Fine Foods and the West Allis Cheese & Sausage Shoppe.
“The market is really a small neighborhood, with great friends and flavor,” Viohl said.
Viohl said the bar serves hot individual or pan-size pizzas daily.
Craig Peterson, founder of Buffalo Water Beer Company, said he was excited about the opportunity to showcase his beer at Viohl’s establishment.
Viohl has a license from the beer company to use the name and brand of the beer.
“This is great fit, since our operations are a block away at the intersection of Buffalo and Water Streets,” Peterson said.
Viohl said Buffalo Water Beer is currently featuring Buffalo Water Bison Blonde, Milwaukee Brewing Co.’s Louie’s Demise, New Glarus Brewing Spotted Cow and Sprecher Black Bavarian.
