BizTimes Real Estate Weekly: Milwaukee high-rise projects show signs of life

Two stalled commercial real estate development projects in Milwaukee are showing new signs of life. The developers of a 21-story expansion for the Saint John's On The Lake apartment complex on Milwaukee's east side have begun selling tax-free municipal bonds to finance the project. Meanwhile, the City of Milwaukee is considering giving a $10 million loan to jumpstart construction of The Moderne, a long-delayed, 30-story residential building planned for the Park East Freeway corridor.
