Schroeder Moving Systems appoints Gierhahn as new CEO

Schroeder Moving Systems (SMS) Milwaukee announced today the appointment of Scott Gierhahn as the new president and chief executive officer.
Gierhan is currently the president and CEO of Schroeder Solutions, another one of the four Schroeder Companies in Wisconsin. Gierhahn will provide leadership for both businesses, which are located in the New Berlin Industrial Park.
Since Jim Schroeder, the previous CEO of SMS Milwaukee, announced his retirement earlier this year, he and his brother, John Schroeder (the current CEO of SMS Appleton), had been looking for a suitable replacement.
"Scott was the right choice for this position," Jim Schroeder said. "After seeing Scott re-create Schroeder Solutions by developing an excellent staff, ensuring high-quality results for his customers, and quadrupling sales, I knew he would put the same effort into the moving company."
The two Milwaukee companies will have resources that include 180,000 square feet of office and warehouse space, 52 office employees and more than 100 field staff. Together, the businesses offer interior design, office furniture, household and corporate relocation, inventory management, and display and electronics moving locally, statewide and nationwide.
