Free online registration begins for Expo

Small Business Times invites its readers to register to attend the fourth annual BizTech Expo, which will take place April 30-May 1 at the Wisconsin State Fair Park Exposition Center.
Advance registration is free. Same-day registration will cost $45.
By pre-registering, attendees will gain access to the Expo floor, where more than 200 businesses and organizations will be showcasing their products and services. Attendees also will gain access to more than three dozen professional development seminars to be presented by experts in business growth. The seminars will focus on topics such as human resources, branding, performance measurement and web site development.
Expo attendees also can visit the Green Pavilion, showcasing products and services that businesses can use to reduce environmental impact and increase energy efficiency, thereby reducing costs and improving their competitive advantage; the Executive Life Pavilion, featuring products and services for the busy and affluent executive; and the Development Forum, featuring leaders in commercial real estate development and key municipal officials.

Additional registration is required to attend the premium events at the Expo, including:
- The CEO Strategies Breakfast, featuring author and consultant Joe Pine.
- The IQ Awards Luncheon, honoring some of the region's most innovative companies and featuring author and consultant Dave Logan. Tom Still, president of the Wisconsin Technology Council, will provide the opening remarks.
- The Expo After Hours reception, which drew more than 700 people attended last year.
- The Manufacturing Summit Breakfast, an interactive discussion featuring a panel of five prominent CEOs: Mark Readinger of P&H Mining Equipment; John Heppner of Master Lock Co. LLC; Jerry Jendusa of Emteq; Jim Lindenberg of World Class Wire & Cable Inc.; and Carl Sheeley of Fontarome Chemical Inc. Tim Sheehy, president of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Chamber of Commerce (MMAC) will provide the opening remarks. The event is presented in conjunction with The Paranet Group.
- The Bravo! Entrepreneur Luncheon, honoring some of the most effective company leaders in the region.
- The Fittest Execs Program, saluting more than 75 business and corporate wellness leaders.
Last year, more than 4,500 business people attended the Expo. According to a survey of the attendees last year, 84 percent had direct or indirect influence on their companies' purchasing decisions; 65 percent had ownership interests in their companies; 21 percent were millionaires; and 69 percent had at least a college degree.
