Major League Baseball Commissioner Allan "Bud" Selig will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from Jewish Family Services Inc. (JFS) in Milwaukee.
The organization will bestow the award at its Luncheon of Champions on Wednesday, June 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Italian Conference Center.
Alan Wagner, an attorney with Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C., and his wife, Stephanie Wagner, will co-chair the event.
The agency will also recognize: "Most Valuable Players" Suzy Ettinger, past president of the former Mt. Sinai Woman's Auxiliary and of the Wisconsin Society for Jewish Learning; Andrew Schuster, young volunteer and founder of Hire-A-Mench; and Rockwell Automation, all for outstanding contributions to JFS and the Milwaukee community through philanthropy, volunteerism and overall social awareness.
Sylvan Leabman, president and chief executive officer of JFS said, "This luncheon will provide an opportunity for us to highlight the leadership and commitment that these individuals have displayed in the Milwaukee community and beyond. Their efforts continue to help JFS better meet the evolving needs of our clients and the greater Milwaukee community."
The fee to attend the luncheon, which is open to the public, is $50. For more information, contact Sarah Drilias at (414) 225-1342.
