Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker will officially sign a resolution today for the sale of a parcel that will become the "gateway" for the redevelopment of the former Pabst Brewery site in downtown Milwaukee.
The parcel will be sold for $380,000 to real estate developer Joseph Zilber and The Brewery Project LLC.
Joining Walker at the 2 p.m. event today will be Brewery Project LLC president John Kersey and vice presidents Tom Bernacchi and Dan McCarthy. Chairman Lee Holloway and members of the Milwaukee County Board Economic & Community Development committee also are expected to attend the event at The Brewery's field office, 721 W. Winnebago.
"Each of these smaller parcels can have a large impact on rejuvenating this downtown area," Walker said. "They will construct a roundabout that will create a gateway into The Brewery Project."
Bob Dennik, director of economic development for Milwaukee County, coordinated the sale of the triangular-shaped parcel.
