The Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort in Wisconsin Dells, recently completed renovations to Klondike Kavern, one of the resort’s indoor waterparks. Klondike Kavern’s Gold Mine Mountain was removed and in its place the resort has built Bonanza Bluff, a new play structure that includes 50 play and spray features on 12 different platforms, a 750-gallon tipping bucket, a 14 foot body slide and a 4-foot side-by-side children’s slide.
In addition, the Hurricane, one of the resort’s popular thrill rides in Klondike Kavern, was “upgraded to a Category 5 storm,” according to the resort, and now features fog machines and strobe lights along with sound effects that make riders feel like they are in the middle of a major hurricane.
“All of the changes to our Klondike Kavern waterpark have come at the recommendation of our guests whose input we value immensely,” said Joe Eck, director of sales and marketing for the resort. “We are constantly striving to keep our resort new and exciting so our guests will want to return for more fun.”
Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort is part of Wilderness Territory, which is located on more than 600 acres of woodlands in Wisconsin Dells. Wilderness Territory has four indoor waterparks and three outdoor waterparks, with total size of more than 12 football fields of waterpark.
