Meinecke is new CFO of Potawatomi business venture

Christopher Meinecke, CPA, has joined the Potawatomi Business Development Corp. (PBDC) as chief financial officer. In his new role, Meinecke's primary responsibilities include financial and accounting oversight, deal flow review and due diligence, strategic analysis, planning and audit oversight.
Meinecke most recently worked at the Milwaukee office of Grant Thornton LLP, where he was senior manager responsible for all phases of audit management.
"The CFO position is a new one for PBDC, reflecting our successful growth, diligent oversight of active and passive investments, and accountability to the tribe," said Carol Leese, chief executive officer of the PBDC.
Formed as the business diversification engine for the Forest County Potawatomi Community, PBDC's holdings have reached nearly $40 million in less than five years. PBDC's most recent investment was the launch of Howl Fire advertising agency in partnership with Minneapolis advertising executive Chad Germann. Other PBDC companies specialize in architecture and design, technology, logistics and government contracting.
