Badger Meter CEO to be Whitewater commencement speaker

University of Wisconsin-Whitewater alumnus Richard Meeusen, who is chief executive officer of Badger Meter Inc. in Milwaukee, will be the commencement speaker at his alma mater on Saturday, May 19, at the DLK/Kachel Fieldhouse.
Meeusen will speak to 1,400 students who will receive their degrees during the ceremony.
Meeusen received a bachelor¹s degree from the school in 1976.
In addition to his role as CEO, Meeusen serves on the boards of Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin Inc., the Milwaukee County Council Boy Scouts of America, the Milwaukee Repertory Theater and the Milwaukee YMCA.
Sara Mertz of Hilbert will be the student speaker at the ceremony. She will graduate summa cum laude with a degree in finance and accounting from the college of business and economics.
