Magnetek enters alternative energy generation market

Menomonee Falls-based Magnetek Inc. has entered a strategic alliance with Power-One Inc., a manufacturer of solar and wind power generating equipment.
Magnetek now has exclusive distribution rights for one of Camarillo, Calif.-based Power-One's commercial solar product lines and non-exclusive rights to a residential solar and small wind power inverter.
Magnetek will provide all pre- and post-sales support for the equipment, said David Reiland, chief executive officer of Magnetek.
"Combined with Power-One's expertise in design and production, this will benefit customers by connecting high-volume manufacturing and leading-edge R&D to local market support and applications expertise," Reiland said.
