Johnson Controls acquires Canadian firm

Glendale-based Johnson Controls Inc. today announced that it has acquired Skymark International Inc. an indoor packaged HVAC products manufacturer headquartered in Ontario, Canada. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Skymark designs and manufactures indoor, through-the-wall and self-contained packaged HVAC products used in new, retrofit and renovation projects throughout North America.
"Skymark brings an enhanced and expanded HVAC/R product line to Johnson Controls, allowing us to better serve our customers' needs," said Allen Martin, Johnson Controls vice president and general manager for systems business in North America, Latin America and the Middle East. "In addition to being able to offer our current customers Skymark heating and cooling systems, we remain committed to effectively serving Skymark's customer base with Johnson Controls technologies."
