Brevient Technologies Inc., a Milwaukee-based software development firm, is the only firm in the Midwest that will get the opportunity to exhibit in DEMO 07, an elite trade show known for launching new, important technologies into the national consciousness.
The bi-annual trade shows are produced by Network World Events and Executive Forums, an IT media company based in Southborough, Mass. DEMO 07 will take place Jan. 30 through Feb. 1 in Palm Desert, Calif. and consist of more than 70 exhibitors hand picked by Chris Shipley, executive producer of DEMO shows. Attendees include senior corporate development executives, venture capitalists, journalists and entrepreneurs. Some of the consumer oriented and enterprise computing innovations that will be introduced at DEMO 07 include: the first video email messaging service; a GPS product that allows users to control their vehicles wirelessly; video ringtones; small business solutions for email, collaboration, shipping & receiving, marketing and customer relationship management (CRM); the ultimate mobile printer; a platform to improve developer productivity and product management; software that tracks plagiarized blog content and a service that secures messages within images so that only the intended recipients can view the text.
Matthew Lautz, chief executive officer and chief technology officer of Brevient declined to comment. It is unclear what product Brevient will be introducing at DEMO, but the Web site for Jyngle, Brevient's mobile and online messaging service, is listed in the press release from DEMO. Jyngle is a social networking Web site developed by Brevient and launched earlier this year. Users, including organizations and teams, can send mass text and voice messages to members.
