Responding to the tremendous growth of the Wisconsin ethanol industry, Agra Industries Inc. is expanding its headquarters in Merrill.
Agra offers design, fabrication and construction of new facilities, including ethanol plants, seed conditioning plants, feed mills and grain handling and storage plants Agra manufactures a line of bolt-together bin systems, rack and pinion gates, seed corn dryers, husk choppers, bag splitters and other equipment.
The addition will feature multiple cranes running the length of the building. Agra plans to add 10 to 20 new jobs with the expansion, according to a company spokesman who declined to disclose the dollar value of the addition to the plant.
The addition will be designed and built by Keller Inc., a general contractor with offices in Milwaukee, the Fox Cities, Green Bay, Wausau and Madison. Keller will break ground on the addition in early October, and the project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
