Cristina Hernandez-Malaby, a partner in Quarles & Brady LLP's Litigation Group, has been named Hispanic Professional of the Year, and Jamie Delgadillo, a business development manager in Jefferson Wells' Milwaukee office, has been named Hispanic Young Professional of the Year.
The awards were recently bestowed by the Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee (HPGM).
Hernandez-Malaby was cited for her extensive professional experience, involvement in her community and her leadership in the firm's diversity initiatives.
"I am honored to receive this award from the Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee," said Hernandez-Malaby. "It is an organization whose mission - the creation of a supportive and dynamic environment for Hispanic professionals and businesses - is so important to the continuing success of Milwaukee and the State of Wisconsin."
Hernandez-Malaby is a member of Quarles & Brady's commercial litigation group, focusing on securities and other complex litigation.
The HPGM organization chose Delgadillo for his high level of achievement and responsibility at Jefferson Wells, his attitude of excellence in both his career and community and because he is a positive role model for other Hispanic professionals.
"Jamie's high marks for excellence in sales, client service, and overall attitude to go the extra mile make him a true asset to our organization," said Pat Hevrdejs, managing director of the Milwaukee office of Jefferson Wells. "He is respected by his colleagues, is the ultimate team player and has a track record of outstanding performance in developing and cultivating client relationships. We are fortunate to have Jamie on our team and are extremely proud HPGM has presented him with this honor.”
The theme of the HPGM's annual meeting this year was "Leaders Among Us.'"
"While one of HPGM's key objectives is to help shape the next generation of Hispanic leaders, we also want to recognize Hispanics that have already achieved a high level of success," said Amelia Macareno, president of the organization.
Jefferson Wells is a subsidiary of Glendale-based Manpower Inc.
