ActionCOACH of Elm Grove is part of an international network of business coaching firms. The company works with small and medium sized businesses to implement plans to improve their sales, marketing, management, team building and other skills. ActionCOACH also provides other resources, like one-on-one coaching, seminars and workshops.

“We’re experts at growing business,” said ActionCOACH partner Jim Palzewicz. “We can find where the gaps are and then show them a process to improve the process, which greatly enhances the profitability of the business.”

When faced with business troubles many owners fear they are alone. In truth, many owners face similar problems.

“(Business owners) know there is more success (possible) but they don’t know how to get it out,” Palzewicz said. “They are ready to get results. But, they have to be open-minded, ready to learn, change and grow.”

ActionCOACH teaches business owners to work on the business, rather than in the business, he said. This distinction gives executives the ability to spend more time with their family and friends, or travel, rather than muddle in day-to-day operations.

Convincing business owners to let go can be difficult because they often, “don’t trust people to delegate to them so they feel they have to have their hands in everything,” said Palzewicz.

ActionCOACH reminds businesss owners that “every champion has a coach.”

Even ActionCOACH. The firm strives to follow their own regimen. It appears to be working.

ActionCOACH of Elm Grove grew more than 50 percent over 2010, and Palzewicz says the firm is looking to hire more coaches. By helping other businesses become more profitable the firm hopes to achieve their goal of creating 2,000 jobs through their client network.

“There is such a strong referral base here, reputation is so important,” Palzewicz said. “We’ve built relationships with some of the best of the best.”
