The 2014-’15 rankings put Children’s at 5th in Heart, 11th in Orthopedics, 12th in Nephrology, 14th in Neurology, 16th in Pulmonary, 18th in Urology, 19th in Gastroenterology, 21st in Neonatology, 26th in Diabetes/Endocrine and 34th in Cancer.
The rankings include the top 50 U.S. pediatric facilities in each categories based on clinical data and reputation with pediatric specialists. The lists include 89 hospitals.
“Children’s Hospital is one of the top children’s hospitals in the nation and the results reflect the vision and commitment we have to achieve amazing outcomes for the kids and families we serve,” said Peggy Troy, chief executive officer of CHW.
The rankings include detailed information about each hospital’s performance, including survival rates, adequacy of nurse staffing, procedure volume and other factors meant to help families find the best available medical care for children.
