JEFFERSON – College eyeing St. Coletta site

City of Jefferson officials are optimistic, and very much hoping, the Wisconsin College of Osteopathic Medicine (WCOM) will decide to locate a school in the former St. Coletta School campus in the coming years.

For the past several years the campus has been primed for development, as the historic St. Coletta organization has made a move to more thoroughly integrate its developmentally disabled clients into the community.

The home for the developmentally disabled has been a mainstay of the Jefferson community for decades and its sprawling campus, with its numerous institutional buildings, is located on the far east side of the city.
