WAUSAU - Former Manson president to plead guilty to federal conspiracy charges

The former president and CEO of a Wausau-based insurance company has agreed to plead guilty to two federal charges in connection with $7.5 million in fraud schemes.

Timothy I. Mathwich, 62, of Wausau is scheduled to enter a plea Tuesday to charges of conspiracy to commit bank fraud and conspiracy to misappropriate insurance credits, according to documents filed Tuesday in the Western Wisconsin District of U.S. Court in Madison. The former Manson Insurance president and CEO faces up to 10 years in prison, six years of supervised release and must repay an undetermined amount of restitution, according to court documents.
