The event also included a keynote presentation by Dr. Bob Gleeson, shared insights from his book, "What Healthy People Know."
According to Gleeson, healthy people consistently make seven simple daily choices that promote their health. They know how to find good health in their own lives without a fad diet, special exercise gear or sacrifice. The healthiest of Americans enjoy 80 percent less heart disease, 80 percent less diabetes and 50 percent less cancer than everyone else, Gleeson said. They spend fewer health care dollars, are ill less often, recover faster and are more active for longer than others.
