NBC News is reporting tonight that presumed Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney will announce Saturday morning that he has selected Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan to be his vice presidential running mate.
Romney is scheduled to make an appearance Saturday morning in Norfolk, Va. Ryan is currently serving his seventh term as a member of Congress, Ryan chairman of the House Budget Committee. Ryan is a Janesville resident. He is a graduate of Joseph A. Craig High School in Janesville and earned a degree in economics and political science from Miami University in Ohio.
Ryan and his wife, Janna, live in Janesville with their children, daughter Liza and sons Charlie and Sam. The youngest of four children, Paul is the son of Paul Sr. (deceased) and Betty Ryan.
