The beam will be displayed in the south end zone, where it will symbolize the work that went into the project.
Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy on Monday extended his gratitude to the contractors and workers who made the construction possible. Murphy said the installation of new video boards will provide a better experience for Packers fans.
“I think our fans are just going to be blown away when they see the clarity and just the great view and vision that you get from these video boards,” Murphy said.
In addition to the new scoreboards, construction at the stadium includes a new north gate and a rooftop viewing platform in the north end zone that can hold up to 500 people on game day, as well as special events throughout the year.
For the 2013 season, Packers officials expect to have about 6,700 new seats in the south end zone, along with a new south gate that will allow easier access to the stadium.
