Kohl’s donates to help Colorado wildfire victims

Kohl's Department Stores today announced a $25,000 cash donation in response to the recent wildfire that caused widespread damage and evacuations in the state of Colorado.

Menomonee Falls-based Kohl's is making the donation to the American Red Cross, which will deliver much-needed emergency assistance throughout the affected communities including those near Colorado Springs.
In addition to a financial contribution, Kohl's is encouraging its associates to volunteer for recovery efforts through its Associates in Action volunteer program. In recognition of volunteer hours, Kohl's will donate corporate grants to the nonprofit organizations being supported by Kohl's associates.
"Our thoughts and sympathies are extended to the families and communities in Colorado impacted by the massive wildfire. Kohl's wants these families to know that we are here in support during containment and recovery," said Julie Gardner, Kohl's executive vice president and chief marketing officer. "We are honored to be in a position to provide financial assistance as well as volunteer service to our valued customers, associates and area residents. While the wildfire has left a trail of destruction, we are confident in the resilience of these communities."
