The Wellness Network, the Waukesha-based owner of The Patient Channel and The Newborn Channel, today announced that it has acquired HealthStyle Press of Germantown.
HealthStyle Press publishes America’s Health Guides, passport-sized health education booklets for every stage of life, aimed at the public health sector, managed care organizations and aging health populations.
"Beyond the 20 million patients we reach every year through our hospital TV channels, we will now reach millions more people in their homes and health clinics with easy-to-read printed materials," said Matthew Davidge, president of The Wellness Network. “We have plans to expand and acquire more companies in the next 12 months.
"Over the last twenty years, we've served health organizations in all fifty States and many government agencies, said Jim Kahl, founder and president of HealthStyle Press. “We’re looking forward to integrating The Wellness Network’s interactive video technology and expanding our team so we can take HealthStyle Press to the next level."
This is the fourth acquisition since 2008 for The Wellness Network owners Matthew Davidge and Joe Covey through their holding company, Interactivation.
Financial terms of the HealthStyle Press acquisition were not disclosed.
The Wellness Network owns The Patient Channel and The Newborn Channel, the most comprehensive in-hospital TV networks. Delivered directly to patient rooms and waiting areas, the channels provide viewers with original, award-winning health programs and advertisers with the unique ability to integrate brand messaging with content that is compelling and endorsed by health care professionals.
