GREEN BAY - Walking tour will take fans on journey through Packers history

The newest Green Bay Packers attraction will transport fans back to some of the earliest moments in the team’s storied history.

The Packers Heritage Trail, scheduled for completion June 15, is a walking tour of historic sites associated with the team throughout the Green Bay area.

The free, self-guided tour will take fans from 1919 to 1968 with 22 plaques marking and describing the significance of such sites as Curly Lambeau’s birthplace and Vince Lombardi’s church.

Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy joined Tuesday’s announcement of the new attraction, saying it would complement other popular sites such as the Packers Hall of Fame.
