Wisconsin business leaders among top E&Y Entrepreneurs

  
Several Wisconsin business leaders are among the Upper Midwest finalists for the 2012 Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur Of The Year Award.

The awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.
The leaders of Wisconsin-based companies who are finalists for the award include: Paul Grangaard of Allen Edmonds Shoe Corp., Port Washington; Cynthia LaConte of Dohmen, Milwaukee; Michael and Stacy Gauthier of Gauthier Biomedical Inc., Grafton; Aaron Jagdfeld of Generac, Waukesha; Henry Herzing of Herzing University, Milwaukee; Richard Kessler of Kesslers Diamond Center, Germantown; Scott Happ of Mortgagebot LLC, Mequon; Robert Mariano of Roundy’s Supermarkets Inc., Milwaukee; and Randy Cortright of Virent Inc., Madison.
The business leaders were selected from a pool of nominations by a panel of independent judges. Award winners will be announced at a special gala on June 14  at the Marriott City Center in Minneapolis.
The Upper Midwest region includes companies based in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
The regional winners will advance to the national competition.
