MADISON - Businesses try to regroup after Causeway Centre fire

  
Jennifer Hanna is switching to an electronic calendar. The 30-year-old immigration and family law attorney has her computer and many of her files safely backed up but found it easier to write appointments and client contact information on a paper calendar on her desk.

That calendar, her desk and much of her office might be gone after a fire on Tuesday destroyed a large part of the Causeway Centre, a condominium office building at 900 John Nolen Drive. The blaze forced Hanna and others in the two-story triangular building to quickly adapt while trying to stay in touch with clients and keep their businesses going. They also are getting a lesson on disaster preparedness.
