The new products are Bacon, Cheddar and Jalapeno Smoked Bratwurst and Honey Mustard Bratwurst.
Lake Geneva Country Meats’ hardwood smoked bacon adds another level of pork flavor to Leahy’s signature old-fashioned Smoked Sausage. Cheddar Cheese bits add the taste of Wisconsin, while chopped jalapeno peppers provide spice.
In March, Leahy’s sausage master meat crafter Jeff Schmalfeldt unveiled eight new experimental bratwurst flavors. The month-long Leahy’s Sausage Bratwurst Bracketology competition at Lake Geneva Country Meats determined which bratwurst would become a permanent member of the sausage line-up.
