Oshkosh Corp. shareholders today elected "at least" 12 of the 13 management-backed nominees to the company's board, the company said in a statement. The vote for one of the seats was too close to call.
The vote was a blow to activist investor Carl Icahn who was trying to gain control of six seats on the Oshkosh board.
"We thank all of our shareholders for their participation throughout this process and appreciate the support of those who voted to elect the company's director nominees," the company said in a statement.
