Cannella to auction off furniture in Burlington

Cannella Response Television announced today it will auction off furniture, decorative items and antiques at its soon-to-be former headquarters at 492 N. Pine St. in Burlington.

The auction will be held on Sat., Dec. 17, with a viewing at 9 a.m. and the auction starting at 10 a.m. All proceeds will go to the Love Inc. Christmas Food Bank. All auction attendees are asked to bring a canned food item for the benefit of the food bank.

"Items for auction will include several like-new wooden desks, historical antique advertising glass, office chairs, antique cameras, electronics and so much more", said Frank Cannella, company founder. "We've sold the building and moved the business, so everything must go."

Available items are those that will be left behind on Dec. 2 when Cannella, the largest infomercial media company in the direct response television industry, will move into its newly constructed office building at 848 Liberty Drive in the Burlington Manufacturing and Office Park. The newly constructed building doubles the company's space to 9,600 square feet in order to accommodate a significant staff expansion.

"We placed a major order for new furniture and accessories for our new offices, and as a result there are a large number of items that we simply could not take with us when we moved," said Robert Medved, CEO of Cannella Response Television. "We are very happy to be able to give back to the community by holding this auction and donating all of  the proceeds to the Love, Inc. Food Bank in time for the holiday season."

The company was purchased in 2009 by private equity firms ZM Capital and Palladium Equity Partners along with Veronis Suhler Stevenson.
