Second Chance Partners for Education and the Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership (WMEP)will host the seminar "Manufacturing and Talent Development" at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at State Fair Park as part of the annual Wisconsin Manufacturing & Technology Show.
The seminar will feature a panel discussion including Steve Dyer, president and CEO of Nashotah-based Dickten Masch Plastics; Mark Hatzenbeller, northeast regional account manager with WMEP; and Stephanie Borowski, executive director of Second Chance Partners for Education.
The discussion will include the talent pipeline shortage in manufacturing, how to attract young people to careers in manufacturing, finding ways to address potential skills gaps in the workforce, the use of technology in today's manufacturing workforce and changing the public perception of manufacturing.
