South side meetings to focus on impact of transit cuts

  

The impact of proposed cuts to Milwaukee County Transit System on the south side of county will be discussed in informational sessions to be held Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the Cudahy Library.

The sessions will take place at 4:30 and 6:30 p.m.

The informational sessions will be presented by The Gateway To Milwaukee, the South Suburban Chamber of Commerce, Transit Now and the Milwaukee Aging Consortium.

 The sessions will discuss the impact of the cuts on workers, the elderly, customers and businesses.

Milwaukee County Supervisors Patricia Jursik and Jason Haas and Kerry Thomas of Transit Now will present information at the sessions, which will be free and open to the public.
