Fisher-Barton Group acquires Zenith Cutter Co.

The Fisher-Barton Group of Waukesha has acquired Loves Park, Ill.-based Zenith Cutter Co., which will operate as an independent group of the Fisher-Barton companies.

Zenith Cutter, which also has a plant in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, is positioned as one of the leading providers of industrial knives and accessories to the converting and recycling markets. Zenith provides products for processing equipment utilized in the converting, corrugated, plastics, recycling, textile, tire, tree care, roofing and wood industries.

Fisher-Barton chief executive officer Richard Wilkey said, "All companies within the Fisher-Barton Group are committed to addressing the customers' needs in all possible ways.  We are confident that the synergies gained through the addition of Zenith Cutter will prove to be very beneficial to the domestic and international markets that we service."

Founded in 1973, Fisher-Barton is the largest original equipment manufacturer (OEM) supplier of lawn-mower blades and agricultural knives in the world.
