SHEBOYGAN - Eighth St. fixture Jumes closes

Jumes, the family-owned downtown Sheboygan restaurant that served breakfast, burgers, brats, sandwiches and soups to many thousands of hungry customers since 1929, has closed its doors for good. Owners Louis and Mary Jumes said the downturn in the economy and a drop in customers, coupled with the continued cost of upkeep, utilities, insurance and other expenses, finally caused them to make the toughest decision of their lives in closing the business.
