Emerson Electric Co. today announced the appointment of Tim Ferry as president of its InSinkErator business, the Racine-based manufacturer of food waste disposers and instant hot water dispensers,
Ferry had been president of Emerson Tool Co. Replacing Ferry as the new president of Emerson Tool Co. will be Chad Severson, who previously served as president of Emerson's Knaack business.
Ferry succeeds Jerry Ryder, whose 35 years in marketing and management with Emerson included 16 years as InSinkErator president. Ryder He will serve in a new role as chairman of the business before retiring from InSinkErator at the end of 2011.
Smerson chairman and chief executive officer David Farr praised Ferry and Severson for their many years of industry experience and past leadership contributions to Emerson.
"Tim Ferry and Chad Severson both bring strong management skills, professionalism and industry leadership to their new roles within Emerson. They and their teams will continue to drive innovation and new growth for both InSinkErator and Emerson Tool Co. brands," Farr said.
