Andrea Rowe Richards announced this morning that she will leave her post as communications manger of the Milwaukee Department of City Development.
Richards and her husband, state Rep. Jon Richards (D-Milwaukee) recently adopted Alexander, a 2-year-old boy from Russia.
After nine years of working for the city, Richards said she will leave her post to take care of her son, beginning Tuesday.
"I intend to continue writing and working part-time from my home office on freelance projects," Richards said.
