Total enrollment at Mount Mary College has grown to 1,929 students, the highest in the Milwaukee school's history.
Of the enrolled students, 1,434 are undergraduates and 486 are graduate students. The college's graduate program enrollment also is the largest since Mount Mary opened its doors in 1913.
"We're very pleased that despite tough economic times, students are continuing to invest in their education and are choosing Mount Mary," said Amy Dobson, dean of enrollment at Mount Mary. "Our generous financial aid programs and personal commitment to meet students' needs consistently make a difference."
Recently inaugurated college president Eileen Schwalbach said, "Mount Mary's breadth of programs, combined with excellent faculty-to-student ratios and passionate teachers are reasons that students continue to be attracted to Mount Mary."
Mount Mary College, founded in 1913 by the School Sisters of Notre Dame, was Wisconsin's first four-year, degree-granting Catholic college for women.
