A new national weekly business news bulletin provides links to online headlines from prestigious local business publications throughout the country, including BizTimes Milwaukee.
The Alliance National Business Report, a free service, is posted every Monday at www.bizpubs.org/headlines.asp.
The new bulletin provides links to headlines from the web sites of local business publications that are members of the Alliance of Area Business Publications (AABP), an organization of more than 70 publications dedicated to delivering customized regional business news to business professionals in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and Australia.
The combined circulation of AABP members is more than 1.2 million business executives, making the area business publications a powerful medium for business news coverage/opinion and for advertisers.
The AABP includes prestigious publications such as Crain's Chicago Business, Florida Trend and the Los Angeles Business Journal.
"We are proud to be a member of the AABP and happy to bring this new national business news service to our readers. We're sure it will be a useful tool for identifying which ways the winds are blowing in the economy," said Dan Meyer, publisher of BizTimes Milwaukee.
AABP president Janette Larkin, publisher of the Des Moines Business Record, said the new Alliance National Business Report will provide readers with exclusive local, regional and national news, as well as some select headlines from member business publications in Canada.
"Local business publications have developed a strong following among advertisers who want business-to-business marketing opportunities within their local markets and business readers who seek more in-depth coverage than the daily papers offer concerning local business activities. More and more, business people want to know 'How's business?' in their own backyard - on Main Street as well as on Wall Street. Our publications answer that question," Larkin said. "By scanning headlines of business news stories from markets throughout the country, from New York to Hawaii, readers will be able to identify trends in business and connect the dots more quickly."
The news bulletin will allow readers to search each week's report by city and by industry, ranging from manufacturing and technology to health care.
