Milwaukee shoppers can now buy groceries at the Wal-Mart store at 3355 S. 27th St.
A grand opening ceremony for the expanded store will be held at 7 a.m. on Wednesday.
The store, which now has 208,828 square feet of space, is the first Wal-Mart to offer a full line of groceries in Milwaukee County.
"We are proud to bring additional savings and good jobs to working families in our community," said store manager Terra Biggin. "Our customers need our unbeatable prices more now than they ever have."
The store plans to employ approximately 500 people, including 150 new positions created by the recent expansion.
