The Milwaukee Brewers today announced ticket pricing for the 2009 season, which includes price freezes in several seating areas and a new loge bleacher section that will be reduced to $10 for day-of-game purchases.
"Notwithstanding the team's success and advancement to the postseason this year, we recognize that the economic climate is a concern for all fans, and our pricing for 2009 reflects this," said Rick Schlesinger, executive vice president of business operations for the Brewers. "The commitment of our fans is unquestioned, and the record of over three million in attendance in 2008 attests to that. Our ownership has and will continue to invest ticket revenue in player salaries, player development and Miller Park enhancements. We thank the fans for their commitment and take great pride in remaining one of Major League Baseball's most affordable experiences."
In 2008, the Brewers were ranked by Team Marketing Report's annual survey as the third-most affordable fan experience in Major League Baseball. For 2009, the average ticket price will be $20.98, below MLB's average from last year ($25.40).
Marquee Game prices for fans purchasing individual games will range from $15 for Bernie's terrace to $80 for field infield box seats.
