Representatives from the Teamsters Local 200 and Waste Management Inc. will not return to the bargaining table until Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 9 a.m.
The negotiations will be held at the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service offices in Wauwatosa at 10000 W Innovation Drive, and the session will be overseen by federal mediator Gary Lisiecki.
The 240 Teamsters employed by Waste Management will remain on strike. They went on strike last Tuesday. Among the issues in dispute is the status of the employees' pension fund.
The strike affects the collections of garbage and recyclables in the City of Milwaukee and many suburbs.
