New Berlin-based GMR Marketing has announced the opening of its Beijing office, with Steve Raw being named as managing director of GMR China.
"We are fortunate to have Steve to oversee our new offering," said Craig Connelly, president of GMR. "Steve has worked in the China market on many different initiatives and brings to the table years of solid experience."
A native of Australia, Raw completed his bachelor's degree in Chinese studies from Australian National University, followed by a master's degree in business administration and strategic marketing from National Taiwan University.
Raw has worked for Imagination in Hong Kong and led global road shows for Air China, Ping An Insurance and China Netcom, as well as working closely with Nike developing its platform for the Beijing Olympics.
GMR China is developing programs for several leading technology companies.
"We are responding to our clients need for global support," Connelly said. "With Steve's understanding of the marketplace and our focus on creating and extending business opportunities for our clients' in China, we are certain we will be successful in Beijing."
In addition to New Berlin and Beijing, GMR Marketing also has offices in Chicago, Charlotte, Detroit, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, Toronto and London.
