Horton Group acquires HCSC

By Jim Butman

Health Care System Consultants (HCSC) of Milwaukee has been acquired by The Horton Group, an Orland Park, Ill.-based company.

The HCSC staff will join Horton's Pewaukee office and form the new HCSC Division of Horton.

Established in 1994 by Andrew Serio, Rae Anne Beaudry and Gregory Bass, HCSC has grown steadily over the past 13 years by concentrating on employee benefits in the Wisconsin public sector market.

"We will now be a stronger presence in Wisconsin with access to more services and vendors which were not accessible to our practice in the past. We enjoy our client relationships and take pride in providing more service than expected," Serio said.

"We are excited to welcome HCSC to The Horton Group. Horton has been very active in the Wisconsin marketplace, and this is a positive move for our organization," said Glenn Horton, chief executive officer of The Horton Group.

The Horton Group moved from Schlitz Park in downtown Milwaukee to a new $3.5 million, 30,000-square-foot office building on a 3.3-acre site on Riverwood Drive in the Riverwood Corporate Park in Pewaukee last year.

The Horton Group specializes in providing insurance, risk management and employee benefit solutions for companies and individuals. The company is one of the largest privately held brokers in the Midwest, with nine offices in five states and two countries.
